2004 (2003?) GTX Supercharged acceleration

When I give it some decent throttle from a standstill, it doesn't move. It does, however "peel out," much like a car just spins tires. The RPMs shoot up, but the craft just sits there. From what I understand and have been told, the Supercharged GTX is supposed to be a very quickly accelerating PWC. When it's moving about 25-30 MPH, it gets up to 55 MPH with little trouble. Our 2008 GTI 130 can blow it away when it comes to acceleration.

Is it not getting a strong pull of water through the jet or something?

Anyone have any ideas? It'd be greatly appreciated. I'd enjoy having some 0 to 50 pull instead of 30 to 50.

you need a new wear ring... about $25 and a few hours to install.

search wear ring replacement on here for instructions.

I have the same issue. It sits there and engine races. So it's the wear ring ... I though I have to replace the prop etc. That sound better.:cheers:
