2003 SeaDoo GTI LE steering harness

I need to replace my steering harness, will my DESS lanyard work with my replacement part?

this is the part i purchased. ( 2003 SEA-DOO GTI START STOP SWITCH 278001791 ) wont let me post a link so if you search that on ebay, im sure you will find it

If anyone every searches and finds this post, the answer is...... no, no its not compatible but it was super easy to use my post from the old harness

The DESS post should have worked fine unless they sold you one with a bad post. The posts are merely switches and the only difference between all posts are the 3 wire or 4 wire version. As long as you have the correct number of wires, it will work. At least up to the 2015 and newer when they changed the post style to the ball.
