I didn't look for another thread, I have a question to verify the number of needle bearings on the wrist pin. After I had an uneven count 0f 35 and 36, I found the rogue needle bearing in the footwell of the ski. :) So my count is 36 needle bearings. Can I get an agree or disagree??

As an aside I'm coming to the conclusion that when 2-stroke Seadoo engines get close to 200 hours run time, engine work is not far off. I think the problem is mainly lack of preventive maintenance the age in years as well and abuse/neglect. Even compression checks are not a absolute positive measurement of condition but they are valuable. I was told that 120 PSI was acceptable for this engine and about 1/2 life.. That may be the case if it is normal wear but you never know why the compression is low. The reason could be damage that will accelerate quickly. Being an old two stroke guy, top ends are easy and cheap and keep the engine happy. I will always err on the side of caution.
