2003 GTX won't start!

No code except for P1517 which shouldn't keep the engine from starting. When pressing the start/stop it just cranks twice then stops and then will crank twice...etc. It has a new battery hence the code P1517 and a fresh oil change. The machine has been out twice since the service with no issues and now it won't start. Any idea's?

No idea on why it won't start though.....sorry!

Pull a coil, stick a plug in there and hold it against ground. Make sure you're getting spark. If you used a battery charger while trying to start, you probably fried your $500 MPEM. Did this once, blew the spark module on one of the cylinders.

Dumb question but, try holding down the throttle like half way when you try to start it?

My 2002 won't start (I'm about to make a thread) unless I hold the throttle down. Idles really really rough too.

P1517 is compass out of range, nothing to do with the throttle

change plugs, verify you hear fuel pump, check injectors, check spark, check compression
