2002 utopia solenoid

Before possibly purchasing the wrong part... can anyone direct me towards the proper starter solenoid.

Thank you. All the descriptions seem to only list utopias 2005 thru 2009. Mine is the older 2002 carburetor version. Does this matter?

Click on the number I posted, should take you to parts for 2002 , which motor do you have?

The carburetor version... didn't realize it could be rope started in an emergency but was very thankful nonetheless. Can take a picture of the solenoid tomorrow if that helps.

Swapped and and works great. Cranks every turn of the key and starts as usual.

I did notice burnt looking connections coming from the voltage regulator... should I be looking at a different issue

That's not good. Is your battery charging at all? At the minimum... I would take those apart, and sand them clean. The red wire with the split boot could short, and cause a fire. That's the power wire going to the battery.

I assumed I would need to replace those connections somehow. Battery seems fine this season so far.

Are there special marine wire connectors I should use?

Nope... those are just bullet connectors that are considered "Water Proof." (The boot seals on the wire and the connection)
