2002 Utopia 205 Ride-Plate / Trim Tabs

So for the folks that have these "Smart Tabs"... How exactly do they work? Do they have a shock absorber that pushes them deeper when the boat is moving slow, and then allows the tabs to come up parallel to the bottom when the boat is moving fast?

Yes exactly. They provide lift to the stern of the boat at low speeds AND add a "suspension" to you boat ride at cruise speeds. They absolutely transform the boat. Hands down the best money that I ever spent on a boat.

UKGlenn, What Smart Tabs Model did you install in you 2004 utopia? I have the same boat and would like to add these.

Im in the process of installing the smart tabs on my 2004 utopia. I think I'm running into the same "fit issue". It feels like im pushing down on the tab to be able to attach actuator at the top. UKGleen// You shaved of some plastic from the top attachment of the actuator to let it rotate a little more?
