Hello, I have a 2002 Sea-Doo GTX 4tec. When I attempt to start the watercraft it goes click click click repeatedly as opposed to turning over the starter motor. I changed the starter solenoid thinking that would be it and It did it again. so I ordered another Solenoid thinking the Amazon one might be defective and purchased a Sea-Doo updated solenoid from the dealer and again it continue to go click click click. I am using jumper cables connecting it to my car battery because I thought initially it was a battery problem and took the battery out to get a new one. I've cleaned all ground wires and checked fuses I did have it running a week ago when I jumped across the solenoid with a screwdriver and that turn the engine over but now it's pretty weak to turn over When I try that. I have connected directly to the starter motor and it does turn over but feels like it is drawing a lot of amperage almost to do it. The solenoid was getting 12 V so I checked that. I was thinking is it possible that the starter motor does turn over but it's kind of worn out and not working properly and needs more power to make it turn over? I'm just kind of at a loss what else to check . Why on a brand-new factory solenoid can I jump it across the bolts and have the engine Kinda try to turn over but when I use the starter button it just goes click click? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
