Starter solenoid was changed.

When you push the start button the solenoid clicks and then electrical power to the whole ski is gone. Until you remove and reinstall the battery ground.

Check your ground cable. They corrode on the inside and can cause similar symptoms. I’d just remove the cable and build a new one to match the length...

The ground from battery to starter is zero ohms

It may be zero ohms in a resting state, but not be able to pass current once a load is placed on it. Try to test it after an attempt to start, while you aren’t getting power to anything...
