2002 gtx rfi Key wont work? HELP!

had the ski out the other day and ran beautiful, today launch it in the water off the trailer and hopped on and put the kill switch on the black piece and nothing on the gauges even showed up, however when you hit the red start button the gauges come on, but bottom line is, jetski wont start , any help guys?!

the post could have gone bad. Inside, there is a little magnetic switch... and they are known to fail. BUT... they normally give some warning. (it will randomly die while riding the ski)

Make sure the lanyard post is good.
