There is a water tube that came off directly under the motor. Found and fixed that problem. Since the hull was full of water its obviously in the motor. I'm told there is no drain plug so all I have done is take the plugs out and crank and crank that stuff out. I even tried to rig a shop vac to try and suck it out. Ive added seafoam and new high octane gas, bought new plugs and battery. So we have spark and fuel. A buddy told me his got submerged years ago and it took forever to steam out. Said it ran like crap for a long time. Guess my simple question is how do I get this thing dried out??? It turns over fine and doesnt sound like anythings locked up or broke, etc. Any help is appreciated!!!

Dry out the electrical box and connectors. If it was salt water; rinse and dry the connectors. Start with a fully charged battery. Pull the plugs put the wires on the grounding lugs. Crank it over in spurts of 8 seconds or less to keep the starter from overheating. Do that until you get as much water is out as you can. Dribble a little 40:1 premix down the cylinders replace the plugs and wires and see if it will start. If not pull the plugs, clean them and try again. "rinse and repeat" *L* Once you get it started RIDE it to get is warmed and cook the rest of the remaining water out. Oh yeah bring a set of plugs as it may foul them while you are riding. Once it's all cleared up put new plugs in and enjoy.

Believe or not i had 2 submerged ski over the July 4th weekend. One was my nephews Yamaha (too much weight on it and it flooded) and mine a 96 GTX (water line came off the back end over the jet) It took about 2 days for each to dry out enough to get it running. Mine runs great now. his is still bogging down and stalls. Oh and his other Yama had a bad starter....just got 'er going today.

Now what I didnt mention is that this happened about 15 months ago and its just sat. After letting everything air and dry out this thing crank right up yesterday and ran as well as it ever has. Thanks!
