When I hit 5,000 rpm "Check Eng" shows in the info center. The seadoo still runs great. I have a service manual but it doesn't say anything about what to do when this message is displayed. Can anyone tell me what to check or where to look? Thanks

When the "CHECK ENGINE" comes on press the "SET" button 5 times and the gauge will give you a code. Report back with the code (P****) and maybe we can help.

I ran into the same problem with a guy at the boat dock. He took it to the Seadoo dealer to run a computer scan on it for $190; and it was magically fixed. Seadoo did not actually do anything other than hook it up. It's one way for Seadoo to make sure you bring it in to a seadoo dealer for service from what I was told :boxing_smiley:.

Low Power

Thanks very much. I'll fully charge the battery and see if that helps. If not I'll check the charging system. Any other suggestions?:hurray:

Fixed 562 but not 326

Well I charged the battery and cleaned up the leads which fixed the 562 code but the 326 code still appears at 5,000 rpm.

I've got a spare KS which I am thinking of hocking up to the wire harness without attaching it to the engin. Any problem with this other than the fact the KS will not be monitoring the engine? Does the ECM expect a vairing signal from the KS as the RPM changes? If so I could mount it on another part of the motor until I have the time to take off the intake manifold to get at the original.

Knock Sensor

Is the 4-tec ks the same as the DI KS. I installed a DI KS which was reading 4.95 M ohms and it is now reading 1.44 M ohms. I still have the error code.

Final / Close

The low voltage problem came back but was fixed by replacing the regulator. The DI KS did work fine and I bolted it to the engine's lifting bracket. The real problem was a break in the KS's wire harness that I found with a test meter. I just ran a new wire pair.
