2002 250 EFI Dies After 30 Seconds at High RPM then will not Turn Over

Son ran 2002 250 Opti EFI without oil, engines runs great at low RPM, but at high RPM after 30 seconds the engines dies then will try to start but will not turn over. Laser temp reading is 130 degrees or less all across the engine block. The low oil warning magnet was taped up, hence not triggering the alarm. No other alarms are sounding and does is not going into guardian mode.

Is the engine locking up and needs to be rebuilt? Or another suggestions?
