2001 seadoo gts simple question

so ive been lagging on getting my ski back together after rebuilding the carb and finally i got it back together almost. i had to re-weld my oil sump seam together cause the poorly designed pos delaminated but anyways. my original problem was my ski will not start in the water. starts with the hose in but as soon as its floating it just doesnt want to fire up. Now i would like to know if my oil injection might be the cause of my issues to much oil fowling the plugs and flooding the engine. i did get it to start but had limited power and no acceleration very sporadic. and it was smoking alot once it was finally running. ive owned 2 stroke dirtbike my whole like and it was very thick smoke.... btw it had to be jumped by my truck to get the sombitch to start cause the battery died.

So my question is where is the oil injection adjustment?

First, never jump start a Seadoo. You will fry the mpem.

Second, what is your compression?

Third, oil pump is on the front of engine on magnito cover if it’s like the 787.

good to know about the jumping part. it runs still after i jumped it i started it up on the hose back home the next day got lucky. compression is 135 in both cylinders. my oil pump is on the carb.

135 is low. Should be 150 but even at 135 it should start in the water. The other common cause of your problem is too much rotary valve clearance.
