Ok so a quick story....
We're riding yesterday and my buddy's Gs was running fine for about 40 minutes. Then my buddy tells me that all of a sudden his gas guage just dropped and went to empty(full tank). 10 seconds later the engine died and no restart. It cranks and double beeps but no restart. Single carb with accelerater pump. I didn't get a chance to look it over but any ideas? I'm thinkin it's something electrical because of the way the gas guage went to empty(seems like it lost power). Let me know what you guys think.

Ok so here is the update. The rear ebox as bill had suggested was dry but needed attention as it had water many seasons ago so took care of some corrosion in there. The real problem was at the mpem main connector. One of the blade connectors was corroded and not conducting electrical power. It was totally corroded and just fell off. I made a temporary fix by cutting some of the plastic away and shoving another blade in there. Well it worked. It fired right up after that. We just have to try it in the water. I'm sure it wil be fine. Thanks for the input bill86e!!!!

So it was the old broke, or corroded in this case, wire failure. Only a skilled and patient troubleshooter catches those. All the credit to you my friend.
