2001 GTX DI runs but dont move

Had the ski out today ran fine all morning and then cruzin around 50 mph it made a bang and pop noise like i sucked something in the intake and wouldnt go forward or reverse, I shut it down right away and to my luck a boat stoped and offerd to tow me and the kids back to the dock was a good 45 min ride going nice and slow.... When I got the kids on his boat I tried to start it and it wouldnt start, motor turned just fine and could hear fuel pump kick on, so he towed me back and when I got it onto trailer it started but propeller doesnt sound right. and shut down and looked, I pulled a hole bunch of white plastic parts out that were bout 1/4 to half in size. Did the wear ring come undone? Any help thanks

Sounds like you sucked something up and shredded the wear ring. Look through the jet nozzle and you should be able to tell.

If it was that hard... you may have ripped the splines out of the PTO also.

Pull the pump, and driveshaft, and check it out. But as above... the white plastic is your wear ring... so at minimum, you will need a wear ring.
