2001 GTX DI Problems

I just bought a 2001 GTX Di and I put it in the water and its take off response was great but it just stop at 30 MPH. I am new to jetskis and very
new to seadoo. I have no idea how to find out if it goes into limp mode or if there a code coming up. It has a maintance light and beep the comes on when you let off the gas. If some one could give me some ideas of what could cause this and some ideas of what i can do to correct this problem

Thanks for the response. I checked the key and spoke with the guy i bought them from and it not the training key, I am going to take it and put it on a
computer. Question is there a possiblilty that the battery could cause the issues i mentioned before. Why i ask i went out this morning to reset the maintance light and the battery was very low. Also how can I tell if it is limp mode? Is there a light or a way to see when it in limp mode.
