2001 GTX DI Fuel Gauge

I filled up the gas tank and took a ride. The gauge showed 1 bar less than full, then I noticed after an hour ride, the gauge shows totally full. All bars lighted.
Loose connection? Bad sending unit?

My DI’s will do this on occasion. Good news is they get such good fuel economy that you shouldn’t have to worry.

Well sometimes when we ride the gas gauge will loose a bar and a few minutes later will add a bar, but for the most part it works like it should. Could be that it changes a little as the gas sloshes around in the tank.
I would keep an eye on it. Could be your float is stuck.

Thanks. I think you may be right about the float. The bars would go up or down 1 bar depending on the level of the ski, but then it just read totally full all bars colored after riding an hour or so and stays that way.
