2001 Challenger 1800

Just installed a new jet pump and housing in my ‘01 challenger 1800 with the m2 240, while I was in there I put a new starter, starter solenoid, new ignition coils and plugs. It fired right up and sounded great! But when I put her in the water it would only get up to 3k rpm and maybe 5mph. Ran like a banshee before! I have no idea what the issue might be?? Anyone have any ideas???

I had a trigger assembly (under flywheel) fail where it idled great... but would drop spark to a pair of cylinders (they are triggered in pairs) around 2400-2600 rpms and wouldn't rev any higher. New trigger fixed it for me. If you put in a new trigger, be sure to set timing on the engine properly. GL.
