Hey tech-savy 2 stroke PWC mentors - have a post on the premium troubleshooting, but guess seadoosnip is out of the net on vacation for awhile. anyway - replaced fuel lines and rebuilt carb. ski was operating good with the kids on it about 3 wks ago and just quit running. most threads directed me to do this. it turns over now but just sputters and barely fires up for a quick second or two. had a small backfire out of exhaust. questions: where or what coud the first timer carb rebuilder have messed up - followed a great thread by qstorm on carb rebuild !! Mikuni Dual 46I carbs with
new 2.0 seats/needles and orings, gaskets, etc throughout carb. pop off pressure at 22 on mag and 21 on pto. have the lsa set at 1.5 out and hsa all the way in. all per manual.
got alittle messed up and confused on fuel line replacement and need some confirmation. pulse nipple clearly marked so good there. fuel "T" atop the mag carb = is this fuel return or fuel into the pto carb? whats the arrow in (fuel in) and arrow out is where i may be wrong. also heard that when you have oil tank empty for awhile (drained, cleaned and replaced lines and filter while pulling carbs) that it takes a day or two for the sensor to acknowledge a good oil level - since i put back together and now conntect dess lanyard my low oil light is on ??? thanks in advance for any pointers or assistance. thought i did ok for first time pwc back door mechanic but now im alittle reluctant to go forward and second guessing myself.
