Hey guys im looking at buying a 2000 seadoo GS with the 717 engine.. I found one in mint condition wondering if anyone has and input on this machine.. Whats the top speed? How do they handle. Are they a lot slower than the 96 xp with the 787 engine.
Would be ridden on Lake Erie.

Thanks

Hi there...

Hi, I have two of those. I think the 717 is a preatty realiable engine but, before buying you should make the usual check up: compression, check the grey lines... etc etc. I don't know how fast they go i think is around the 40's, anyone correct me if i'm wrong. I havnt been able to clock the speed.

The GS is a nice 2 seater. It's a little bigger than an XP, but not much. It should get into the upper 40's, where an XP 800 should get into the upper 50's.

If the price is good... buy it.

Hey guys do these machines have a hour gauge? What about a 1996 GSX do they have an hour gauge? I noticed some machines have them and some don't.
