Went last night and picked up a jet ski for my brother. He had fun riding mine so I helped him find one. He is on a budget so we looked for skis that needed work with out trailers, since I gave him the single trailer one of my skis came on.
I found this XP and its super clean, low hours. No fading, the seats and traction mats are amazing, the hull looks immaculate, complete, nothing missing. I checked the wear ring and impeller and they look spectacular. It truly looks like a low hour ski that was kept in a garage.
The only problem with this XP is the engine was mysteriously seized.... Seller said that it sat over the winter and when they brought it back out for the season the engine wouldnt budge. The seller just pulled the piston cover off and tried soaking it in marvel mystery oil and couldnt get it to budge so he decided to get rid of it.
We gave 500 dollars for the ski. If I am correct this is one of the more sought after sea doos? It has the 951 rotax engine, and it has the special variant of the x4 hull?
Did we give too much? What would cause the engine to seize like that? Do I need to post pictures?
