Hello everyone if this has been discussed before i apologize i haven't been able to find it.
I have a 2000 millennium 951 RX DI it starts up and runs great when you get down to half of a tank it falls on its face and keeps shutting off will bog down like its running out of fuel cuts in and out you have to limp it back to the dock. Fill it up and it runs great again tell half a tank again. its pretty much dead on 5 gallon trip put another 5 in again lol and your good to go again. any suggestion to what to look for. i havent tore it apart yet i am assuming theres a pin hole or something in the fuel line in the tank at this level. Not sure how the fuel pump system is set up in it yet tell i take it apart i just know I'm not giving 1,400 for a fuel pump assembly lol.
ANY AND ALL HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIETED.

The fuel pump is the the bottom of the tank so as long as there is fuel in the tank it shouldn't matter.
It could be that the check-valve for the tank vent isn't working and the tank is building a vacuum. I would check the check-valve and/or try opening the fuel cap when it gets down to the problem level and see if that makes a difference.

Remove the fuel canister and replace both filters. Make sure everything is clean when you go back.

i have new filters i was going to put on it while i had it apart do you think that could be the reason it only runs a half tank of fuel out

I put the new fuel filters in it tonight we will see how it does tomorrow the filters and the inside of the canister was pretty dirty

Ok thought the external filter was plugged up took it off and I can blow thru it the fuel system was pressured up but it won’t start do I have to purge the air out of the lines some how or do I have another issue it was running before I changed the fuel filters

Insert the key, remove it, reinsert it a few times. You have to refill that filter. The pump is only going to run for a few seconds when you insert the key or when you are cranking. Good idea to fill the large filter with fuel before install or as installing. The system should pressure up on it's own. Good Luck.

Ok I figured out the problem the pins are loose on the plug in the fuel tank does anyone have any good recommendations on either a replacement plug or a fuel pump with the plug already wired on it I found the quantum ones on Amazon but it has a lot of bad reviews
