So here's my issue.
I've charged my new battery (Yusa lead acid).
It's voltage is about 12.8 after the charge.
The ski starts up fine, I test the voltage and get about 13.8-14.0 at 6000rpms.
I let it sit for a day or two and start it up and I test the voltage again and I looks like I get no charge. About 11.9. Take it on the water and get a 12v low message.
I've run all of the electrical tests per the manual. Used an ohm meter to check the stator too. It checks out fine.
A guy over at greenhaulk said the ohm test isn't accurate and you have to pull the mag cover to see the condition of the stator.
I've replaced the voltage regulator with the OSD aftermarket 4tec. I've also kept the original one in the ski as well to test between the two of them. My original one works and the OSD doesn't.
Do I need a new stator? That's what I'm thinking. But I don't understand the charging of the battery when it's freshly topped off after a charge from a maintainer.
Any suggestions?
Thank all
