Looking at first seadoo,

Found a 2000 GTI

cosmetically it's good other than some scratches on the front

the guy has receipts where it got a tune up, all new fuel lines & new battery just a few weeks ago

What I am unsure about is that it has 200 hours on it, Is this a lot?

The guy is asking $2500 but it's been up on CL for 2 weeks so I am assuming that's a high price since no one has jumped on it. It also includes the trailer

Guy is willing to do sea trial, Just curious if it's even worth my time

thanks

On a 720 engine... thats about half life, as long as he was running the proper oil, and it's been maintained. Since he's willing to allow a sea trial... that's a good thing. That generally mean he has nothing to hide.

So... if you go to look at it... here's what you want to do...

1) Make sure the engine is COLD before you see it start. Feel the engine and pipe. If it was run before you got there... that's not good.

2) Check the compression. 150 psi is perfect... 135 and it's getting time for a rebuild.

3) The most important thing... ask him what kind of oil he uses. Seadoo's need an API-TC oil. If he says anything other than an approved oil... don't touch it. A lot of people will buy what's on sale, or what they get get at wal-mart... and they use regular outboard engine oil. (TC-w3) and that is a huge NO-NO in a rotax engine.

Thank you for your help,

Do you feel this is a decent price or what should I offer him if all checks out?
