ok so today i took my GTi out for the first time, after de winterizing, i took it out to the river and it cranked right up, ran fine for almost an hour, just like it did last season. then on my way back in it made a loud whining noise and then stalled... got it back to the bank and it will crank back up and idle kinda roughly... when i try to ride it, i can give it full throttle and never get over idle speeds, and then it will die out and make a loud noise.. got home changed the plugs and it cranked right up, the engine will rev up in or out of the water, but cant get any speed out of it... someone please help me... oh and i cleaned the fuel filter out as well.... still no luck

Sounds like the bearings in your pump may have given up. When you "De-winterized" it... did you check the pump oil?

no i didnt, how would i go about doing that? is there a seperate tank for it other than the oil tank that mixes into the fuel? keep in mind im new to all this

No... it has nothing to do with your injection oil.

You have to take off the pump nozzle, and pull the little fill plug out of the tail cone.

It's not hard to do, but you should get a manual to know where everything is at.

if it was the bearings is this a very expensive fix? im trying to learn to work on it myself, but some things i would rather the dealer do... would this cause it to take on a small amount of water?i noticed it took on about 3 inches of water as well...
