2 -2004 3d's bogging and no acceleration

I own 2 3d's. One started acting up a couple of weeks ago and now the other. Frustrated, Put new gas in both skis and checked the fuel filters inside the tank. Installed new plugs. Still the same thing. The one started to accelerate after about 10 minutes of holding it wide open. The weird part is that when it took off it ran like it was on nos. I mean this thing flew . I'm not sure if this is how it supose to be or not, Neither ski has ever really been that fast since I bought them 4 years ago. However,When I shut it down its now back to the same old thing,won't go over 3 mph. Please help. Thanks Joe

If you have gray tempo fuel lines change them and clean the carbs. Should fix it right up! good luck

I had the same problem in my 2004 3ds, but i pulled the airbox cover off and the flame arresters were black, so i just removed them. I also cleaned the throttle bodies (mine are fuel injected) because they were pretty bad too. i would also check to see if you have an exhaust leak (my clamp was loose.) anyway, that seemed to fix the problem with mine. good luck

Thanks for your help. Are these 3d's fairly quick out of the hole or are they a little slower taking off. I 'm trying to find someone close to me who has one i can drive to compare mine too. Like i said on my original post the one took off afer riding it around at 3 mph for 10 minutes or so and almost through me off the back. It feels like a different machine. I cut corners and jumped some small waves like a crazy man. I wish both skis ran like that all of the time. Any thoughts on this issue? Thanks Joe
