Ok so my local Walmart stopped stocking the XD100 that I was using. They do have the Quicksilver PWC. 1st can I use the Quicksilver? And if so, is it ok to mix it ? Thank you in advance.
This is what the back says. It's weird cause I was told by my local dealer that I could use the xd100. Wow hope I did do anything to the motorYou should not mix oils as it can congeal,
Where did you see that XD100 is rated TCW-3? I couldn't find that. The XD-100 is for outboard motors and is rated TC-W3 so not the right oil for your Seadoo. You need an API-TC rated oil. Not sure what the quicksilver is rated. I know Lucas has an oil with the proper rating and of course there is the XPS oil from BRP
Hi, I didn't see it was TW-3 I have been using XD100. I was curious if I could switch to the Quicksilver PWC. If not I'll just have to order the XD100 online. But but someone commented on this thread not to use XD100. I'm definitely confused now lol.Where did you see it is r

That question was for @burtshaver2021 not you. I haven't seen that XD100 was rated TCW-3 either....Hi, I didn't see it was TW-3 I have been using XD100. Ok thank you! I'll just stay with the XD100. Yes burt had me scared because I ran the XD100 all last season. That question was for @burtshaver2021 not you. I haven't seen that XD100 was rated TCW-3 either....
No, the Quicksilver does not meet the 951 seadoo specs.
Never ever use a TCW-3 rated oil in any Seadoo, especially a 951. The only oil that should ever touch a 951 is a full synthetic API-TC oil.
You will have to drain the oil system and change the inline oil filter to switch oils.
The XD100 oil is a BRP Full Synthetic marine, ashless oil. There is a 99.99% chance it is the same oil as Seadoo XPS E-Tec 2-stroke. BRP has become repackaging masters for lubricants and turned it into word salad the last few years.
Ok so bottom line is I should just use the Seadoo e-tec 2 stroke? And change the filter don't mix the oil with the xd100I'm not seeing anywhere that it is a TCW-3 rated oil. Only websites that show it under a TCW-3 banner. I am seeing that you can have your E-tec engine reprogrammed to use the XD100 instead of TCW-3 that will use much leaner ratios and less oil use.
Only thing that would give me pause would be the "no ash" and "marine" as API-TC are low ash, not no ash but TCW-3's are.

I do tend to agree with @burtshaver2021 though. If there is any question and it doesn't specifically state API-TC full synthetic I will not be running it in my personal Seadoos.
