sold the same one for $5500.

From what they stated, looks like he/she didnt know about the oil bath for RV assy, and tossed the entire oil bottle, considering, in picture, the "blue" tube is just laying there.

If you get it for that much, and the motors could be saved, then i think its a steal...

Is a project boat. Minimum you will have to rebuild the carburetors to take care of the fouling spark plugs. That’s at least $100 per engine if you do it yourself or $240 per engine if sent to a professional. Make sure you do a compression test. I think they should be at 150psi and they should not be more than 10% difference between both cylinders. If less than 130psi then the engines might still be good but you will need a top end rebuild in the near feature.

With that said, I like project boats as long as you can get them at a low price. Unfortunately been on Ebay and been a 99 i am afraid it will go higher than what it is now. Remember if you want a deal save your money now and wait until December. The off-season is the best time to buy boats. I got my C1800 for 2k and all i need it was the upholstery done.

I Agree!!!!

:agree::agree::agree::agree:

CJ is spot on......I'm looking for a new Challenger 180 and considering its prime season for boats I'm amazed at the prices they want right now.

Its looking like I'm going to wait it out till the fall before I launch my future Challenger 180. I expect this winter will be another tough season for the dealers.
