This is the 2 piece reservoir that typically leaks at the trim, but I am 90% sure mine is only leaking at the seal where the grommet attaches. I cannot find a diagram or video on how to correctly siphon out all the oil and bleed the oil lines correctly. Does anyone have any tips or videos on this? I plan to replace the seal and put fresh seadoo oil back in. This is the RFI so no premix. Thanks!

What I did to drain mine was get a hose pinch clamp (or any small clamp that will stop the flow), pull the oil line and put it into a clean bucket if you plan on reusing it. Otherwise, get something you can siphon it out with and pump it.

Best,
Jake

You can clamp off the lines and pull the reservior out of the front of the ski. You're gonna spill shit everywhere anyway.. LOL No matter how much I try someting always goes awry. LOL

@etemplet lol I figured it doesn't matter at this point. Oil leaked everywhere anyway! I got some degreaser and dawn. I'm just going to siphon it all out and put in new oil that the manual specifies. My dad gave me the seadoo and used normal 2 stroke oil for who knows how long. The rave valves were a complete mess & I'm sure I'll find more problems as I go.

By any chance would you or @Vandy34 know where the "oil pump lever" is? I'm driving myself crazy trying to find it. All I can see is the throttle lever on the front of the oil pump.

Hi, I usually pump or siphon the oil out using the return line from the engine that connects to the top of the oil tank, seems to get most of it out. You have to connect a longer line to it of course.
This is the oil pump lever you were asking about. (See image/attachment)

When I have drained the oil tank I have not put that much effort in it.

1) run a 5/8" line up through the right drain hole in the back,
2) feed it under the intake, up to near the tank,
3) pinch off the supply line to the oil filter,
4) disconnect the oil filter at the inlet side,
5) plug the 5/8 tubing on the end of the tubing coming out of the tank
6) put a nice clean jug under tubing left hanging out of the drain hole,
7) take off the clamp on the line to the tank,
8) let gravity work the magic,
9) go have a beer, or two (or your favorite cool beverage),
10) tilt up the craft or tank to get out the residual,
11) once the tank is empty, disconnect the 5/8 line, and hold it up high enough til all the oil is drained,
12) pull line from the hull,
13) change the oil filter while you have the chance,

Very little oil left in the hull, especially if you raise up the oil filter higher than the pump when you disconnect it.
