My problem started with ethanol in the gas. I drained the tank and never ran the gas through but same results as if I did run it. I read the posts here regarding changing all the fuel lines checking all the filters and yes the one inside the carb too. I did this to two 1999 GTX limited. One works fine now and the other runs lean and the RPMs screem I have to choke it to keep it from runing away. So I followed all of the steps to insure no blockage in the fuel system and still is lean and runs away. I tried to download the files posted at: (http://www.seadooforum.com/showthread.php?t=5563) for rebuilding the carbs but the files will not open and an: error message comes up saying the files have errors and will not open. Help anyone have any ideas??? :willy_nilly:

pull the carbs, make sure the gasket/s are there, the throttle line aint pinched....possibly an overtightened carb bolts.

I have had the carbs off and double checked all that you mention and compaired all the work to the sister GTX that works fine. I'm just frustrated and lost but I know when i find the problem it will all make sense. What else could I be missing inside the carb. The pump is working the one way valves are fine, the jets are not clogged. Still not enough gas and to much O2.

fuel lines

check your inlet fuel line at filter. Came across one, where the lines were reversed...? Check all of them...

I did all of this last year and gave up. I satrted to work on them today and the batteries were bad, so I am starting this year with the new bateries and then will double check all the simple stuff like the lines crossed etc... But I am sure that I did that stuff last year. I changed all the lines on two sister skiis I repeated the same work for the sisiter skii and she runs away. Re-did the work three times and double checked everthing I could think of plus ideas from this site on fuel supply. I have the feeling there is still somthing that got into the carbs blocking fuel. Is that not possible if the main & internal carb fuel filter is clean and the jets are clear???
