1999 gsx limited bogging on idle to full throttle

I have worked extensively on this seadoo getting it lake ready.

I have changed all the fuel lines, changed fuel filter, fuel selector valve is good. Rebuilt the carbs with makuni oem parts and viton needles.

Adama96xp has patiently help me put this thing back together and responded to about 300 texts and videos.... For that I am grateful.

I lake tested and it "bogs and dies" from idle to full throttle. I can "bump" the choke once and it seems to help. Seadoo will then take off and top out perfectly.

I took off the carbs again and went through the accelerator pump as it wasn't pumping any fuel into the carbs.

I did replace the hoses since they were brittle. Couldn't find the form hose that is 4", I used a bit of longer hose and made the bend. If anyone has a link, I would like to replace it with correct one.

I put an extra piece of hose on the barb in the top of the carb (with accelerator pump attached) and it was hard to blow through the 90 degree valve. The other on seemed to blow easier. Are they designed for different pressure or the same?

I did what Bills86e suggested and soaked and cleaned.....

Put them back together... And to no avail... Still having the bogging and dying from idle to full throttle.

Adam wanted to get the help of some of the 951 guys here. Any help is appreciated.

Thank you in advance.

I had a similar problem on my 951 xp. If your accel pump is pumping at the pump and not squirting into the carbs, its most likely the check valves. Spray some carb cleaner in them and use a pin or paper clip and try to move the little ball around to free it up. I was lucky enough to undo the line at the accel pump, hook compressed air up to the line and blew them both out. Worked like a charm after that!

Another thing to check is when the accel pump is actuated (adjustment arm) and verify both of your carbs are in sync with each other.

BiRkS_ did you notice that one was harder to blow through. I personally would like to just replace them, however I haven't been able to locate them.

Playing with the seadoo right now... Just pulled the carbs after testing the accelerator pump. I pulled off the line feeding the two carbs and nothing was flowing.

I have the carbs off if anyone has any suggestions.... Please reply.

Its hard for you to check the accel pump without it being hooked up to the fuel system. I suppose you could hook the inlet hose of accel pump into a container of gas and see if it draws it up and squirt it through. If it does, then I'd say for sure it is your nipples/check valves in each carb. I don't recall one of mine being more difficult than the other, I would think they should be the same... I would look into that. You need some good air pressure though. Your mouth wont do LOL

I am glad to hear that it is under good pressure. I think I found the culprit to my problems....

The top barb was clogged. Hopefully I clean it out enough. Putting it back together now.
