1998 seadoo xp limited

Ok guys I just bought another seadoo. I got a 98 xp limited. It needs some motor work. ive rebuilt tons of 4 wheelers, 2 stroke and also 4 stroke. nothing big, but what I need to know is.... How to I check and make sure that the oil pump is still working, The previous owner has no clue about anything thing, all he knows is that it doesnt run in the water, but ok out of the water, So I compression check it and find that one cylinder is down. Not a big deal. ill just do a freashen up on it. I just want to be sure that the oil pump is still in good working order. Thanks again!
