1998 Seadoo gsx limited. I am having trouble getting it started. It was running fine then all of a sudden while riding, it started to slow down and wasn't able to throttle up fast 15 mph then just shut off. It does turn over and crank but it doesn't seem to be getting a spark. Some of the things I have checked are: I bought new spark Plugs, there is no water in the engine, Got a new battery, Oil and Fuel are filled, Checked the fuses - Good. Wondering what other things I need to check or replace. I was thinking its the starter coil in the rear electrical box? Also when I replaced one of the spark plugs the gap was completely closed, and not sure what that means. Any Help is appreciated

Thanks

Well... from your description... sounds like the engine gave out. Get us a compression reading, and we will go from there.

Yea, let me know if it's toast, that's a fun ski if you can get over the purple parts ;)

I could use another winter project...

Yes test both cylinders they should be within 10% of eachother. Sounds like in the cylinder that had the spark plug with "no gap" that the piston contacted the plug and sounds like a rob bearing getting ready to let go.
