No power to ski, good buzzer no beeps. Does the START/STOP button run through the MPEM? If I jumper the starter relay the engine spins. Just wondering if a start/stop switch could cause no beeps??

Which little ground wire?
lower lug. The 15 amp fuse & holder is in there too. Moisture effects everything in there, and the MPEM plug-in connections. If water gets in VTS, can effect mpem.
A free floating piece of metal inside the mag housing can short out the system regularily, or irrregularly, depending on what it touches. If it is not a broken gear tooth or starter shaft spline, it could be a piece of the centrifical weight holder retainers inside the bendix, as they break off regularly and there are 6 of them. They are U shaped and about 1/4 inch long x 1/4 inch wide. Not only a huge hazard to the destruction of the stators coils, but also a hazard to the ignition pickup by gounding it out killing spark and the power to everything else. Bills86e

Start/stop button
Does the start/stop button still work when the MPEM goes out? The only way i can spin the engine over is by jumping the starter relay.
I used to be able to leave key off post, hit start button twice and the trim gauge would kick on for a bit but now i get nothing when i hit it.
Its like the entire ski lost all power except for when you jump the starter relay, thats the only sign of life.
