I have a 1997 sedoo challenger. It burns a lot of oil at idle( it probalbly does at higher speeds but I just don't notice)

My neighbours think my house is on fire when I run it in my driveway
Is there an adjustment I can make to lower oil comsumption?

It seems to run fine. The plugs do tend to foul prematurely

thanks

All you can do is to check the pump.

On the pump... where the cable hooks up to it... there is a little notch. At the idle position, that notch should line up with the scribe mark on the pump body.

If you haven't checked it in a while... you may find that the cable broke, and it has spun around making it go "Full throttle" oil.

One last thought. If the engine is older... the center seals are known to leak, and when it sits... the oil will leak into the crankcase, and will smoke when it's first started. If that is the case... then you will just have to live with it until you rebuild the engine. (They are internal seals)
