1997 seadoo challenger 1800

I have a 1997 seadoo challenger 1800 twin rotex.. I can push the right engine upto 7 rpm but for some reason the left engine does not go over 5 rpm. only once it did go to 7 rpm but than went back to 5 rpm. Can anyone please tell me what could be causing this issue..

I would check th carbs, sounds like it may be a fuel issue...

man do i have the same issue. port side wont go over 5K and the starboard shoots to 7k. with mine if i drop the throttle for the portside and hit it again over and over it will sometimes go to 6K but if i drop or touch the throttle it goes back to 5k. its been to 2 shops and they both went through evrything with no luck. the last shop dropped the jet size to one smaller. They told me it would go to 6500 rpm but i just took it out and it never went passed 5K. Some are saying it the rev limiter in the mpem but the part is like 1500 bucks and if thats not it they wont return my money since its an electrical problem. IF YOU FIND OUT THE PROBLEM PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
