1997 GTX taking on water

I bought a 97 GTX over the winter and dumped it in Friday night for the first time, it took on water fast, I cant see any areas in the hull, it looks like its coming in where the impeller shaft comes through the hull, but I cant tell. I dropped it off at the local dealer on Saturday....seeing that $70 hour sign scared teh crap out of me. The jet ski was in salt water in NJ, not sure if that made a difference or not??
