Hi everyone,

I just picked up a very clean 1997 GTX. In fact it's so clean the previous
owner removed all the decals. It now looks similar to a beluga whale. :ack:

Most of the 1997 GTX stickers are discontinued but I would have no issue
with using ones from the newer years. Won't be stock but at least the
beluga disappears.

Would anyone have some advice on how the easiest it would be to
compare the newer decals (sizing etc.) prior to purchasing? I would imagine
some would be close to the same anyway (e.g. SEA-DOO).

I do have one possibility in that if I can find a quality image of the decals
I could try a local company to one-off them but that seems to be a
difficult search.

Ideas?

There is an outfit in MIchigan that makes a lot of the custom stuff and he posts here from time to time as he has a couple seadoos, I have wanted to remove all my decal stuff but wondered what it would look like, now I know to call it the mini beluga...

Can I ask what you paid for your 1997 GTX?

Not sure what figure you want I also got a single trailer with it but I'm
in Vancouver Canada and after I sell the trailer, I'll have $2100 into it - which
for Canada is a pretty good deal IMHO. I'm 90 min from Seattle area and bought my two 1996 SPX from the States. I just happened to find this one
in my area and was first to go see it and closed the deal. Vancouver area prices are always higher than Washington - usually significantly.

I have been watching the Seattle area and these units have been running in
the $2200 and up area. Importing into Canada I also pay a 12% tax at the border - when buying in Canada there is no tax and even with the par US-CDN dollar it was still a good deal I think.

I just have to decal it up to get away from the friggin' beluga whale look.

Thanks for the info.

Thanks for your reply. I don't have a particular price in mind. Not sure of the value of a 1997 GTX. Basically, I just don't want to pay too much.
