hi all, got a 1997 gtx with new engine, just finished installing, starts fine but stalls when you give it throttle, i changed the lines, new gas, rebuilt carbs, but i must have missed something or done it incorrectly, i am going to take the carbs apart again and check, any help, thanks mike

Sounds like the pop-off is too high, or the carbs aren't clean.

Take them apart, and check over everything. Verify that every passage is clear. Use spray carb cleaner, and compressed air to force out any obstructions. Check the pop-off pressure, and the leak down on the N/S.

By any chance, did you put on an aftermarket flame arrestor?

You have a lean condition. (too much air, not enough gas). It could be an airleak on the suction supply fuel line at the water separator/filter
the cup cross-threaded or square 0-ring is warped. If you pressure tested the carbs after you last re-built them and adjusted to spec, my guess it the fuel is not routeing. Hope you cleaned the fuel selector or replaced that.

hi ,ok I took them apart again and cleaned them , i havent adjusted these carbs before, dual carbs 787 motor, there seem to be 5 adjustment screws, I know the idle one with the "t handle" there are 2 other adj t handle screws under the carbs when mounted, then there are 2 others with caps on them, 1 cap fell off, from reading here there are hi and low screws, but what is what? thanks the manual is not very helpful, thanks mike
