Hello I have a 782cc GTX and if it sits very long oil will get on top of the piston and cause it to hydro lock.I was wandering what would be the cause and if there are any temporary band aids to remedy the situation ?
Thanks

You can clamp the main oil line to keep it from seeping into the case. Crank seals are probably leaking. Crank the engine over without plugs in to remove the oil from the case.

How are you confirming that there is getting oil on top of the piston. There is really no way of that happening that I can think of. Have you checked your battery that it is fully charged and you have good connections??

I pulled number 1 plug and it was pumping oil out. I am thinking about just running premix and replacing the line to the crank case with a new one with a cap on it and mounting it where it still is vertical but doesnt have a gallon of oil behind it creating enough pressure to push it past the faulty seal. From there just keeping a close eye on it to make sure it always has oil in it.

if it is leaking, and u eliminate it from the oil tank supply, guess what happens when the oil leaks out of just the line ?

Im guessing if it has no oil while its running it will seize up.. I was thinking that the pressure from a full tank of oil helps push it past the seal..I see the line going back to the top of the tank but I was guessing that it was a crankcase breather line and not a return line. Not sure how much oil the machine would use so I figured i would monitor it closely until I figured it out.If that doesnt work I guess I could just put a ball valve on it to turn it off while its not being used.
