1997 gsx when i shake the ski it shuts off

check the battery cables. and make sure the stator is not full of water.
This might be a little far fetched, but my XP stalled soon after landing big airs off beach waves.
It ended up being the fuel tank switch, that flips from on-off-reserve.
Long story, but after swapping out a bunch of other stuff, nearly everything, this part was on backorder and ended up being the problem.
But, that is later for you. If yours is stalling as soon as you shake it, you have an electrical prob, I would guess.
If you shake it and it runs a few seconds, then dies, look at the switch. (long enough that it may be burning the fuel out of a chunk of fuel line then dying.)
