1997 gsx 787 engine idle??

I just put my new carbs on and was wondering what the idle should be set at out of the water; hooked up to a water hose. As of now my ski is idling around 1100 rpms. Is that good or should it be more since it is not in water (lake)? Thanks

It should rev about 2000 rpms on the hose. about 1500 in the water because the impellerwill have resriance in the water and not on the hose.
