1997 Challenger 1800 2 Beeps, engine turns over but blows fuse.

Just like the title says. With fresh fuses I get 2 beeps when I put the lanyard on. Then when I push either start button it blows a fuse instantly. The engine will continue to turn over (not start) until I release the button. Then no beeps until I replace the fuse.

Any ideas?
Bad Ground?
Bad Stator?
Bad Voltage Reg?

Don't say MPEM. I went down that road last summer.

you can start unplugging that stuff and see if it stops blowing the fuses to start with...The grey connector on the front for the stator and the two black connectors coming out of the voltage regulator..you didn`t say which fuse? go to your manual and look at the wiring diagram and see which circuits are on that fuse...I had the wiring above the exhaust fall down and get melted causing mine not to charge ..
