1996 xp, pos water in crank case

Does anyone know of a way, short of removing the engine, to eliminate any water that may be at the bottom of the crank case? I don't want to blow the balance shaft if some water is sitting down there and there is no balance shaft drain plug on the 1996. Any chemical I can get into the crankcase to accelerate evaporation?

All the spark plugs, the intake stroke will pull it through the system and pump it out the plugs. Once you do so, you will need to start and run the engine for about 30 mms to get the residual water out. Can't be run that long on a hose, really should be done out riding it.

Thanks for the input. That is what I've always on engines without a balance shaft, But the thread I read on here stated that on the 787, the water will pool in the balance shaft since the shaft is the lowest point and only separated from the crank case by a labyrinth washer... also stated that not enough heat is transferred to the balance shaft to effectively boil off any water and that is in part why a drain plug was added in 1997.... Guess I'm looking for conformation of that thread and/or another option for removing the water.... maybe a alcohol based product?? I'm not a chemist so I'm not sure how or if products like "heat" remove water from fuel, but maybe a chemical like that?

Well, how much water? A few drops or did you sink it? I mean give us something to go on, you really left the door wide open.

I'm not sure if any water is in there, I just know the thing was sitting for a year and a half. I would assume a decent amount of condensation would form and I'm just trying to cover my bases if possible

What if the ski was "towed" and the water inlet hose wasn't blocked off?
