Would appreciate any help. Winterized in October last year. Pulled out ski last week, recharged battery and connected it, put in some fresh gas, and it fired right up! My first trip this year was the first (and last) time on ocean (saltwater). Ran it for a day no problem. On day 2 ran it all day no problem, then up came a storm. I had a ways to go to dock and water was getting very choppy, so ran full throttle just hopping off the waves. After about 10 minutes of this rough riding, the ski just went silent. Got a tow back in and now it will not start. Topped off gas, charged battery, checked all wires/fuses and nothing. I know it is getting fuel into the cylinders because I can smell it, and tried starting it with a little straight fuel into the block. I get 2 beeps when putting in the lanyard. Starter and solenoid both new last year. If I try to start it with the plugs out, there is no spark visible. What would make it just die in the middle of a run and leave no spark?

The pick up has broke off inside the mag housing...or you have a loose wire somewhere. I rough rides I used to have the battery get loose and it would tear the little ground wire off....that is until I modified the battery tray with a snowboard strap.

could be a loose ground coming from your CDI, iv'e seen some grounded to the motor mounts so if thats loosfrom hitting waves you could have a problem there..just an idea.
