Hey guys new to this forum. But came across some guys on here that were talking about replacing the diode in the mpem. I have the original mpem in my speedster and dont really want to retro fit to the new mpems. Does anybody on here have pics and what not where that diode is located? I would like to get my boat fixed and back on the water. I appreciate any help. Also what diode I need to replace it with.

Thanks
Kevin

I haven't personally replaced an mpem diode, but everything I've read about it, shows the diode to be very close to the 5 amp fuse

Jts32 I appreciate the info I'm gonna dig into it this week and see what I can come up with. I would just love to see a picture so I know exactly where it's at.

So the 5amp fuse is top left. So the diode should be up in the corner. Does anybody else have pictures of the location of the diode.

So I started digging around last night on that mpem. I came across this diode which I think is the one causing the issues with blowing the 5amp fuse. I ordered some new diodes which should be here next week. Hopefully this will fix the issue.

Put your multimeter in Diode Test mode and put the leads across the diode. It'll tell you straight away if it is bad.
