1996 Speedster BIMINI TOP?

Have on on 1995 same body. If you have one installed make sure they put reinforcing plates behind the fiberglass, not only for the attach pivot, but also for the 4 strap hooks. Going 50+ mph puts an enormous strain on the top (remember it is a big air foil).

If youre using a boat cover to trailer, you may have aproblem. All the covers Ive seen wont accomodate bimini covers, so I remove mine and carry it in the back of my tow vehicle. No covers on eBay will take a bimini.

Removing the bimini raises another problems, the mount screw threads will wear out over time. I fixed this by replacing the mount screw with a threaded dowel (Ace hdware) and a black knob. The threaded dowel can wear out, it is easy to replace.. not so the attach bracket.
 
uhhh...my cover fits perfect, with the top mounted, yah..Home Depot for the side mount screw, lost it, but their for 1.50...Yah, real quick lesson about how fast with bimini up, snapped the one strap doin 20mph-ish. Ok, no top goin fast...:cheers:

i have 2007 speedster 150 with wake tower and bimini on it.. and i changed te bimini from grey color to red.. coz it was Torn ..

Hey There Uncle Jay could you let me know what brand or where you picked it up from. As i too have a 95 speedster but being imported and not sold in australia parts like Bimini's are a night mare to find.

Im also looking for a wake tower to match. has anyone heard of a wake tower fitting a 95 speedster perhaps with the Bimini as a part of?

Was there ever and out come to the size request, Can Anyone recommend a wake tower for a 95 speedster that folds down for easy movement and storage.

well guys, i measured mine 95 sportster, and i ordered a taylor made.
i started with the hieght, i wanted to be able to stand up without hitting my head so that was easy, 54" inches, next i wanted as much shade as possible so that meant 8' foot, and last i measured across the boat right at the throttle controls, ( 2' in front and 2' behind controls), i came up with about 74" inches, so i chose 73" to 78" inches. So here it is:

8'L x 54"H x 73" to 78"W

I'll let you see when i get it

Thank you, the binimi top was about $265.00 and the rear supports were $48.00, and it took about an hour to install.

the seats were done by the previous owner, they were poorly done and with cheap material, already has a couple rips, going to have them redone around the first of the year.:cheers:
 
Seadooer95, where did you get your bimini. I am also here in SoCal and would like to have mine custome made. Yours looks great by the way.
 
I have a 1999 Speedster and would like to know what my options are for a bimini top. What is the best on the market now as
far as being compatible with that model year and boat hull shape/design.
