1996 Seadoo XP only has spark on 1 cylinder

My XP has been running terrible and I have confirmed that I only have spark on one cylinder with a timing light. Do I need to replace the coil?

Before you go out and buy a coil....cut the spark plug wire back about1/4" at the spark plug boot(first remove the spark plug boot) then reinstall boot and check for spark...the spark plug boot just spins off...

Yep... make sure the wire isn't cooked inside.

When you are checking for spark... do you have the other wire grounded? That ski fires both plugs together, and they balance each other.

If you truly, have no spark on one line... then you have an internal short in the coil.
