1996 Seadoo GTX Question

I've noticed the steering on my jet ski is starting to become more hard to turn (it isn't that bad) but, I'm just wondering what it could be. I sprayed WD-40 on the back line for the steering, and it helped a little.

There are a few models of skis that the steering shaft gets stiff due to corrosion and or dirt. To test this, disconnect the cables and see if it is still stiff. If it is, it is in the steering handle bar area/shaft. If not, probably the cables. If it is in the shaft, tear it apart, clean and lubricate it. While you have it open, drill and insert a Zerk fitting so you can grease it.

Disconnect the cable from the steering nozzle. Try to manually move the nozzle, it should move really smoothly, if not that is where part of the problem could lie. The other would be the steering cable itself, that you can test once the cable is disconnected from the nozzle.

Wish I could help you, but I'm not exactly sure where the tempature sensor is. Also, new question. When I click the start button it says "12v low" on the info center, but after it starts it goes away.

Edit. Also fixed the steering issue.

seadoo set that 12V low limit too high for certain years and it is common for it to trigger that quite a bit even with a good battery. as long as it cranks strong and starts, then the 12V low goes away shortly after, it is fine and don't worry about it.
