Found a couple more options. All can be drilled, tapped, sanded and painted. The Permatex says it’s gas and oil resistant.

Good luck with that. That’s not the correct way to fix the cases.

If it breaks off it will take out the crank, cylinders and possibly the head.

That is definitely a concern. Could create a bigger problem. Waiting to hear back from Nick and Jess regarding parts.

Agreed. Those are all likely epoxy putties rather than actual metal... they don't typically hold up to high temperatures very well.
 
Instead of buying cases and spending all the time and money on the rebuild, I dropped the hammer and bought this from Jess. Sad that one random bolt dropped into the intake could pretty much ruin a motor. I’ll just toss the cases and save everything else for a possible build in the future.

Simple and reliable fix in my opinion. I would also rebuild the carb and fuel system.
 
I have completely rebuilt fuel system and carbs. I will order some cases at some point and rebuild the whole motor as a future project.
